ONE METRIC.
A LIFETIME OF REASONS.
Your aerobic fitness says more than how fast you can run. Cardiorespiratory fitness is a powerful predictor of long-term mortality, adding information beyond risk factors such as smoking, blood pressure and cholesterol.
VO2 max measures your maximum oxygen-use capacity during intense exercise. It’s a key marker of aerobic fitness—and one you can work to improve.
Explore the fitness–longevity connection ↗Higher fitness is associated with lower mortality; it does not predict your lifespan. AHA scientific statement ↗Guided tests, purposeful workouts and a clear record of your progress.

VO2 max · mL/kg/min ● Training potential
This is the app’s VO2 max training-potential model, shown at 3, 6, 9 and 12 months. It uses your starting VO2 max, age and sex, with smaller gains over successive training blocks and an age/sex reference cap. It assumes continued training; individual responses vary.
This is a scenario, not a forecast of years lived or healthy years gained. The app’s separate fitness-age estimate also uses health inputs, so it is not reproduced here. Starting values at or above the model’s cap are marked outside its useful range.
